Trombonest 1.1.2

Trombonest 1.1.2 is now out.

• Hard mode was renamed to Advanced.

• Intermediate mode starts out in a chromatic scale. Press the menu button to select a different scale!

• The main change is the Trombone Slide is now monotonically increasing!

When you play in intermediate or advanced mode, you’ll be able to move the Trombone slide and hear the frequencies between notes.

When you extend the slide out to the maximum position, the slide will play the lowest note of the partial.

When you bring it to the closest position, it will play the highest note of the partial.

Due to me misreading the MIDI spec and not reading the documentation of the MIDI player that Trombonest uses, Trombonest used to bend beyond the next note right before playing it.

This made the sound terrible! So instead of sliding between a B and a C, it would actually slide from B to C# then back to C. Terrible!

There’s still one small audio glitch I’m working on which is there’s a little click whenever the note changes.
